Virgin Charter Marketplace

The Virgin Group is one of the world’s most respected brands with 200 companies worldwide in sectors ranging from financial services and music to transportation and mobile telephony. Virgin Charter sought to reinvent the charter airline business by creating an online marketplace where charter airline passengers and charter companies could connect.

Virgin Charter hired Native Instinct to design a dynamic Web 2.0 interface for an application that enables passengers to submit flight requests that specify their preferences for aircraft type and services and allows charter companies to view those flight requests and to bid on the trip. Once a traveler and a charter operator reach an agreement, they can complete the transaction and book their flight online. By designing the transaction processes and building the complex presentation layer code that was integrated into Virgin Charter’s proprietary back-end engine, we helped make a time-consuming and complex process straightforward and easy.
