NEW Customer Service Companies has a great success rate when selling their extended warranties with their retail partners including Wal-mart, Target, and Best Buy. However, online attach rates were significantly lower than in-store rates. NEW asked Native Instinct to optimize the user experience and create enhanced content to improve attach rates. We came up with three recommended placements for the sale during the e-commerce purchasing process, and three types of content, each which could be standardly integrated into their partners' Web sites. NEW is working with their partners to test the different placements and content to determine the optimal take rate, which varies from retailer to retailer.
The "Plug and Play" concept and approach that we designed for NEW was given the 2010 Consumer Electronics Show Innovation Award for online retail.
