Native Instinct Expands Social Media Practice.
We’re very excited to announce that Rohn Jay Miller has joined Native Instinct, to expand our content and social media practice. For us, this is not just a great new hire, it also is a big part about how Native Instinct is responding to the market and our clients’ requests to expand our business in the interactive realm.
In the “old days” (for example, 2006), clients typically would ask us to build them a Web site and maybe an email template. Of course we were involved in SEO work and the occasional banner ad, but as a company that specialized in making interactive products, we really were focused on creating great user experiences for our customers clients, when they were at Web sites that we controlled.
Fast-forward to 2010, and by now our clients were asking us to help them control the experience of their entire eco-system – mobile Web sites, mobile apps, Facebook pages, Twitter accounts, iPad apps, you name it. The interactive eco-system has fractured from a single browser experience to a multi-site, multi-access and multi-device experience.
Obviously, this makes it much harder for us to control the experience of our clients’ target customers. But interactive media is not about control, it’s about the conversation – so we need to make sure our clients are a part of it. So we’re expanding the amount of resources we’re applying to content and social media, in order to help our clients interact with their customers, wherever they are.
Rohn Jay Miller has been a leader in this space for sometime, first at LBi Icon-Nicholson and more recently as a consultant. We’re thrilled to have him on board, and he’ll be working with the rest of our design and technical team members to help our clients engage with their customers on the social Internet.
