SAN FRANCISCO, CA. – Interactive agency Native Instinct announced today that Rohn Jay Miller is joining the firm as Partner and opening an office in Minneapolis. Mr. Miller was formerly Strategic Director of IconNicholson LBi in New York, and SVP –Product + Technology with Knight Ridder in San Jose, and is the lead thinker behind the take5interactive.com blog.
Miller will anchor a new office for the firm in Minneapolis, located in a region where the agency has recently won new business. The Twin Cities market includes consumer companies such as Target, Best Buy and General Mills, who Miller says has helped to build a substantial talent pool of creatives and technologists with experience in social media and large-scale content strategy.
Native Instinct is an independent digital strategy marketing firm whose work includes the marketing and e-commerce for The Flip camcorder, as well as interactive campaigns and e-commerce sites for Wells Fargo, Cisco, Salesforce.com and Visa among others.
“As the interactive ecosystem expands across multiple devices and social platforms like Facebook and Twitter, our clients are always asking us how they can be more strategic about reaching their customers.” said Solari. “Rohn will bring hands-on knowledge and expertise to our clients about how to better tell their story in the world of the social Internet.”
“Jeff called one afternoon and asked if I wanted to work with them on a project in the Midwest,” said Miller. “We kept talking and finally we agreed we were all rowing in the same direction, so we decided to threw in together.”
“Personally it’s both coming home and pushing forward to the edge,” he continued. “The strategy and work that Native Instinct has developed is all about clients owning the media as much as possible. Let’s use paid media to talk to strangers and acquaintances, and use our own media to talk to our customers and prospects directly. That’s exciting.”
