Native Instinct Helps Visa Explain Mobile Payments to the World
Two members of Native Instinct’s Visa team, Jim Granger our Creative Director and Lynda Greenberg our Director of Client Services, recently returned from the GSMA Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona, Spain. They spent several days there in Visa's booth showing off new visions of mobile payment apps using Native Instinct’s dynamic presentation engine, Ohlone.
“There were more than 1,300 companies presenting products and services at this show,” explained Lynda. “Visa needed to make a clear statement that they are going to drive this business through innovation. Ohlone allows Visa to create dynamic presentations on the fly that are tailored to show off specific products to a wide range of audiences.”
The ability to change languages was particularly well suited to an international show such as Mobile World Congress where approximately 47,000 mobile professionals attended from 182 countries. “In a typical tradeshow presentation, you’ve got, at best, 30 seconds to grab someone’s attention and explain some fairly complicated interactive products,” said Jim. “Then, if they’re interested, you need to be prepared to dig deeper into the material quickly. Visa knew they might be talking to a business executive from India one minute and an engineer from Germany the next. It’s a real challenge to create a cohesive presentation that can reach a diverse audience and address several products. Sure, it’s storytelling. But it’s storytelling with a purpose. We weren’t just there for the tapas—though they were good.”
